Edward Norton Wants Batman Role

We’ve heard whispers that Joseph Gordon-Levitt was interested in playing The Riddler in Batman 3. Today we can add another actor to that list. While talking about comic book movies with IGN, Edward Norton praised Christopher Nolan’s work, and said he’d do a movie with him. IGN pushed Norton further, asking what role in particular he’d like to play.

We pushed Norton as to whether he’d be up for playing a villain in Batman 3, with the actor replying “That would be fun, I would not say no to that.” And more specifically we asked if he’d like to play the Riddler, with the star simply smiling and saying “Your guys can put their votes in on that.”

Norton is no stranger to comic book roles, having recently played Bruce Banner in 2008′s The Incredible Hulk.

I think he would be good as Mr Zsasz, played by Tim Booth in Batman Begins.Norton looks enough like Tim Booth to be a slightly older version of Zsaz on screen (see him in American History X) Also he could be saying F*** you to Marvel for not re-casting him as Hulk and star in a film that will surely gross higher than the Avengers. Also this is unrelated but I think you should implement the IntenseDebate commenting system for this site.

Scratch that. They both seem better in different ways, and perhaps Discus is more suitable for this site.

Yeah I’ve played around with both and I prefer Disqus. If you create a free Disqus account you can have a picture by your name

Thanks for commenting! The past few days more comments have been coming in than usual. I hope we can build a nice little community here.

I created one. It would be nice if Disqus could implement a reputation system similar to IntenseDebate’s though.

After watching Batman and Robin again, I have to give the edge to Forever, which is at least entertainingly bad 90% of the time. B&R is just agonizing to sit through aside from Schwarzenegger’s gloriously awful performance and John Glover gleefully hamming it up for a few minutes.
