Michael Caine talks ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ script and schedule

Michael Caine has been known to give away more details than he probably should in interviews about upcoming projects. Nothing major here, but Caine did talk a bit about The Dark Knight Rises in an exclusive interview with Empire. Here’s an excerpt from the article:

“Emma [Thomas], the producer, said we’d get the script in January. Christopher said: ‘Script in January, shoot in May, finish in November.'”

This filming schedule seems similar to that of The Dark Knight. I believe that film started shooting in April of 2007 and wrapped up around October or November. With the cast getting to see the script in January, I’d expect an official update from Warner Bros. very soon. They’ll probably want to announce the villains and plot to avoid any leaks once the script is in people’s hands. Hit up the source link for the full interview, and also an interview with Jonathan Nolan reflecting on The Dark Knight.

Update: Earlier this month I reported that filming would start in April in New Orleans. Warner Bros. was definitely looking at locations (specifically the Warehouse District) and hoped to shoot there because of the tax breaks. I was told that the deal would be finalized in February, but after Wally Pfister and now Caine’s comments, maybe a last minute decision was made to pull out of NOLA?
