More possible locations for ‘The Dark Knight Rises’?

We know that Christopher Nolan is currently on a worldwide tour to find the perfect locations for The Dark Knight Rises. Today BOF offers a few details on where else he may be looking. According to their source, Nolan would like to film in in the U.K., Los Angeles, Detroit, New York, and someplace else outside of the US. Chicago is missing from this list, and I’d be shocked if they didn’t go back there. Chicago has been used for Gotham in both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

    I’d be amazed if they didn’t return to Chicago, myself. I think not including it in some capacity would set the film apart oddly from its predecessors. Perhaps Chicago is off the list because it’s a given?

        BOF claims from a “very solid source” that Hardy isn’t Hugo Strange. However, that doesn’t mean Hugo is discounted.

    okay if they didnt go back to chicago would that take away from the performance of the actors? no it wouldnt. the movie focus shouldnt be whether or not its filmed in a particular city more so making it better than the previous film, which was very good.

    Chicagos a given imo. Whats interesting is why tthey’d need multiple city locations like LA, New York etc?

    Being a Studio Mechanic in Chicago its expected and would be very dissapointing 2 the people who have worked Dark Knight.New York has Spiderman-California has pretty much all the rest.People assimilate characters with cities and to veer away from Chicago is on the minds of everyone in the industry here.I will say the word on the street is it will come back, our State Tax Incentive alone should keep them coming back.Filming starts mid Feb 2011,so i should know soon whats up soon.
