‘The Dark Knight Rises’ is Bruce Wayne’s story

Last night, the Santa Barbara International Film Festival presented Christopher Nolan with its highest honor, the Modern Master Award. Some members of the press were invited, and Kristopher Tapley of In Contention live tweeted the entire evening. The journalists weren’t able to get much The Dark Knight Rises news out of Nolan, but they did get him to confirm that shooting will begin this May. Nolan explained he wanted to walk away from Batman after The Dark Knight, but felt he needed to finish the story. “For me it’s all about endings. We’re telling Bruce Wayne’s story”, Nolan said.

He’s been telling Bruce Wayne’s story for 2 films now. Again he says a lot but offers up nothing.

What do you mean Nolan “offers up nothing”?

Batman Begins was Bruce Waynes story…don’t get your comment…

By saying Nolan offers nothing it means again he’s interviewed and says a lot about batman but again he’s sly enough to give no new information…get..it?

He’s probably gonna focus on Bruce Wayne more this time. He did uncover a lot for Bruce Wayne in the Dark Knight in just a few scenes but most people didn’t quite enjoyed his inner turmoil, his angst about crime and his obsession for control. But the scenes were there, they were very subtle.

Oh, Bruce being the character to focus on is awesome news. Long live Batman.
