‘The Dark Knight Rises’ set photos from London [Update: Video]

It looks like my sources were correct! Earlier today The Dark Knight Rises began filming on St. John Street in London. The Farmiloe Building will once again be home to the Gotham Police department. Comic Book Movie and several people on Twitter have shared the first set photos. Nothing too exciting yet… but they’ll be filming all week, so it’s possible we’ll get more photos soon. For now, check out a few pictures of Gotham SWAT vehicles after the break.

Update 05/17/11: Video of Gotham SWAT and police cars have been added.

Big thanks to David for the heads up!

Hoping for some shots of Hardy/Hathaway. Probably about a month or two until we get an official shot.

What I do wonder is if they’ll keep one of Bane or Catwoman secret like they did with Two-Face,

No , they will not keep both secret , they will need to market the movie on these new characters , remember the Joker marketing  Blitz ,I excpect after Comic Con ( July 21 ) we will have official pics and somekind of teaser !

I mean ONE of them. Catwoman makes sense to blitz, being a more prominent character than Bane. What I’m hoping and praying for is some viral marketing.

I know this is going to make me unpopular on the site but , i think i am anti Viral campaign this time round , it did work realy well for TDK , but thats because the matieral fitted it , Harvey Dents election campaign ” I BELIEVE IN HARVEY DENT ” leading to the JOKER TIMES , TDK was a very Public story , I think TDKR will be alot more personal , I just dont see a Viral working or having the same impact ! I could be wrong .

C’mon, the viral stuff is great! They’ll put in a different way this time, don’t be so… unpopular!! :D

I agree. Although, it was really awesome when I attended the Elect Harvey Dent campaign rally on the Georgia Tech campus in Atlanta in March of 2008. I have the buttons, t-shirt and campaign sign. All of the bling was awesome, even the three issues of The Gotham Times! Peace

I bet they’ll release full pics of the character… they won’t be so secret as they were with Harvey, ’cause in TDK he was a key character, the major Uturn of the movie. I don’t think the same can be applied to Cat-chick or Bane.

Yeah , Warners is realy going to have to Market BANE hard , as right now the public dont have a clue who he is , if they want to do a BILLION again ! The Joker was an easy sell !

About the official pics of the characters… that worries me! If they don’t release some officials soon, fanboys will see rough takes and will cry bloody rivers… well, fuck’em! hehe

Wow. You mean Comic Book Movie actually posted something accurate? That’s a first.

Looks like there’s a problem with the video Splash posted, it’s not working on their website either. I’ll try to download a copy and put it in the different video player. http://www.splashnewsonline.com/2011-05-17/dark-knight-rises-filming-on-location/

    Are those movie posters legit?

    • http://batman-news.com Batman-News.com

Are you referring to the posters in the Gallery? No, those are all fan art. Official posters will be added soon (hopefully).

I drove past the building a few days back whilst on a night shift..there were two Panalux trucks and large black sheets covering the front of the building and windows. Hope they’re doing night filming – I’ll try and drive past a few times over the next couple of nights although according to that parking suspended sign it looks like filming might be over on Saturday?
