‘The Dark Knight Rises’ filming in Newark, NJ this fall?

Christopher Nolan is literally taking The Dark Knight Rises all over the world. Filming in India, England, Scotland and back here in the US in Pittsburgh, New York, and Los Angeles. Now, Cory Booker, the Mayor of Newark, New Jersey says The Dark Knight Rises may be coming to his city. It doesn’t sound like the deal is official yet, but if The Dark Knight Rises does come to Newark, it’ll likely film in October.

    I ahve family in New Jersey… I live in virginia though.  Depending on how concrete this information is… I definately will take time out just to go down there and camp on their shooting sites.  :) Packing hotdogs and beer (and a camera of course), the whole shibang!

    Nice to see New Jersey appear since the comics book location is set in New Jersey after all, really can’t wait to see all the mash-up of cities, I have a feeling Gotham will look great this time around.

    Filming everywhere but the city that was Gotham for the last 2 movies :(  We got spoiled with Batman being here in Chicago the last 2 times.  It’s true, you never truly know how much you miss something until it’s gone.
