Catwoman crashes into expensive IMAX camera on ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ set

It’s a good thing Christopher Nolan has a $250 million dollar budget to play with for The Dark Knight Rises, because he’s going to need a new IMAX camera! Last weekend while performing a stunt at the Mellon Institute, Anne Hathaway’s stunt double drove the Batpod right into an expensive IMAX camera rig. TMZ acquired video footage from the accident, check it out. Luckily it appears that no one was hurt.

          To be fair, only very few kitchens provide enough space to ride a bike in, so where would she get the practice from? 
          I’m lucky to have enough room in mine to use skates that let me move faster between the kitchen and the living room to serve my husband whenever he calls on me.

      I read that they did one hand held shot with an IMAX camera on TDK just to see if they could.  In this set up, it looks like the camera was on an arm attached to a dolly.

    Probably wasn’t the brightest idea to place the camera so close to the bike’s path. Maybe they thought the shot was worth the risk.

    I hope they can use that shot though! Imagine the bat-pod running into the screen!

      The Batpod is very hard to control, they took the chance for a greater shot. Bad luck, buy another one…

    This just shows that catwoman/Selina Kyle should never be on the bat-pod in the first place. Not only is it stupid to have her ride it/steal it from Batman (which looks really cheesy), but not just anyone can ride it…certainly not Catwoman who isn’t a stunt driver. It’s just too unrealistic for the Nolan world. Also, why did they put that black cover over the stunt actress at the end?

      they put it over her at the end so no one could c her costume of course and i like the idea of stealing the batpod. maybe she is working for batman. we hav 1 year to judge and this footage shouldnt hav been out in the first place

        Haha that’s a bit silly covering her. We can already see the silly costume whilst she’s on the bike, not gonna be THAT much different standing up as evident from the couple of seconds we did see.

    I enjoy the site, but I have noticed that other news outlets always have these things posted and more times than not, more info as well. I know the site was down a bit yesterday, but when I found this Catwoman story the site was up and there was no mention of it until much later than the media. Thanks for the job you do though :)

    A lot of the criticisms we’re hearing remind me of the stuff that was said about Casino Royale. Daniel Craig couldn’t drive a stick and a bunch of other stories that didn’t matter when people saw the finished product. I suspect it’ll be the same with TDKR.

      no. when she came out of the jump. the batpod wanted to go left and she couldnt control it because she just came out of a jump. plus there was a guy behind that camera so i am pretty sure chris nolan doesnt want her to almost run over a person.

    catwoman has secret cat ears; if u notice, the googles look like cat ears and she can wear it as a headband and thats wat makes the catears and i guess she uses the mask under the googles wen she uses the goggles as a headband to protect her identity!
