‘The Dark Knight Rises’ to shoot at Queensboro Bridge in NYC this fall

Batman-on-Film.com is reporting that The Dark Knight Rises will be filming at Queensboro Bridge in New York City when the production arrives there later this year. Details are slim, but it’s apparently going to be used for a “big action scene”. Other rumored New York locations include the New York Stock Exchange, and then they’ll cross the border and shoot in Newark, New Jersey.

      Batman is more based on Chicago…with all the gang activity? Superman’s metropolis is New York. Batman’s Gotham is Chicago.

          Umm… both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight were primarily filmed in Chicago and clearly based on the city. That quote is referring to Gotham being the greatest city. Metropolis, New York and Chicago still exist as separate cities.

        I thought that Superman’s Metropolis was Vancouver. And I also thought that for TDKR they’re blending Pittsburgh, New York and Glasgow together to be Gotham City.

      Definitely, these huge [and very cool] military trucks will be in the movie… i think that Bane’s para-military mercenaries will use these babies.

    Hey what’s going on Batman-News.com I’m new to this website my lil brother told me about it and so far I have to say this website is off the hook :-) great job chris u know how to make us batman locked in im 24 now n I ben a batman fan sents forever lol I can say around 5 my dad was one of the repair men on the TV show back in the 60′s but anyways I think that’s cool Batman is going to NYC And I woulder what’s going to be the action scene maybe see some banging and booming ??

    WOW i hadn’t been on in a week or more and it’s updates galore here on Batman News !
    Seeing this and hearing the bridge could be used for yet another big action scene makes me all giddy.
    With this news announced, the fight with Batman and Bane, the riot. the Police vs Prisoners and Bane’s private Army plus downtown vehicular action and the bad ass Batwing TDKR already looks to have more action scenes then all the batman films put together. Action scenes have always been very brief in batman movies, its so so so inviting to see a bigger focus on them this time round.
