Morgan Freeman spotted on set of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’

The Dark Knight Rises is still filming in Los Angeles, though it’s been a bit more quiet than the shoot in Pittsburgh. They recently wrapped up on the set in Torrance, California and Batman-News.com reader Phil sent in a great report:

Well, filming for Dark Knight Rises officially wrapped today, this was confirmed by Wally Pfister himself to a couple of firends of mine who met him earlier. All in all, it was a fantastic shoot, and although most of what was shot was hidden from our view ( thank goodness, I’m happy to say) the itty bitty bits that I was able to see have left no doubt in my mind that this film is going to be TREMENDOUS! Non-spoiler: what I will never forget is seeing Christian Bale in the Batsuit. He looks massive and intimidating ( as I’m sure you’re witnessed yourself) and I truly can’t wait for this film. Anyway, I have seen a few things that I wil lnto discuss ( as I would consider them spoilers) and I did snag some pic, but I am only going to include the non-spoilers ones.

Productions now moves downtown to do interiors shots on the 3rd and 4th at a building location before moving to the 6th street bridge location for exterior filming on the 8th through the 11th. Just a heads up, lots of spoilerish imagery may pop up from the 6th street shoot, so just a heads up. I have some inside info on what’s filming there and it may be hard for Team Nolan to completely hide what they are doing there).

Phil also snapped some photos of Morgan Freeman and Christopher Nolan. Check them out after the break. Thanks Phil!

I have to agree with Phil here. This movie will be a fine, excellent superhero movie to wrap up without a doubt, the greatest superhero trilogy of all time!

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ! WTF is up with Freemans hand ?

    • http://batman-news.com Batman-News.com

He injured it in a car accident a couple of years ago. He usually wears some type of glove for protection on that hand. I don’t think it’s related to the story.

Thanks for clearing that up . i thought BANE had gone to work on him trying to find out The Batmans True identity !

O.K this is just a wild guess on my part , but judging by the clothes and actions , we have been able to see so far from Fox , Gordan and Blake i am guessing they are some kind of risistence movement ! Just a feeling i am getting .

Anyone notice his hand?  Whats up with that?  It looks fake… or prosthetic…  Maybe it has something to do with Bane stealing the Tumblers.

According to this website, he was in a car accident a couple years ago and he puts that glove on for protection

Meh, he looked way more massive and intimidating in the Batman Begins suit. Not a fan of the new suit tbh, his neck just looks too small and he doesn’t look as bat-like…kinda felt like they ditched the whole “theatricality and deception” theme when they introduced it in TDK

Everyone is saying this film is going to be iconic, i have to adimit i didn’t really think that before but i am starting to believe. i also hope this film does run that 3 hours length like some have stated…..plus with all the location imagery and Nolans imagination this will turn heads!
