‘The Dark Knight Rises’ heads to New Jersey, November 3rd and 4th

NJ.com reports that The Dark Knight Rises will be shooting in Newark, NJ next week, on November 3rd and 4th. Here’s an excerpt from the article:

“The Dark Knight Rises,” the third film in the popular Batman remake, will film on Nov. 3 and Nov. 4 including one day in City Hall, according to a city official.

The official said the city was incurring no cost and Warner Brothers would be paying Newark $43,500 for the use of City Hall as well as additional costs for police and fire personnel that will be required on site.

If you’re a New Jersey resident, you may want to check out the source link below… there will be several streets closed while they’re filming. We had heard that Christopher Nolan was interested in Newark back in May, thanks to a tweet by the Mayor, Cory Booker. How do you think the City Hall building will fit into The Dark Knight Rises? Let me know in the comments.
