Upcoming Comics: December 26th, 2012

The only quasi-bat-title coming out this week is Justice League. It’s Christmas this Tuesday so many comic shops won’t even be open on Wednesday and the publishers are aware of this. Most, like Dark Horse, Marvel, and Image are only shipping 2 books this Wednesday while Valiant won’t have anything at all. DC has Justice League, Before Watchmen, and Aquaman. I’ll be honest and say that I probably won’t be reviewing Justice League #15 until Thursday or Friday. I’ll be too busy playing with my new toys. I will, however set a few articles on a timer to be published throughout the week. These articles will be reviews for various graphic novels such as Batman: Eye of the Beholder, The Black Mirror, Batman/Judge Dredd, and No Man’s Land Vol. 4.

Here’s a list of all the Batman comics a description of Justice League #15 coming out this week, December 26th, graded on a scale of my own anticipation.

None.  –   I’ll get to it…eventually   –   Eh…meh.  –  Bring it.  –  TAKE MY MONEY

JUSTICE LEAGUE #15

Written by GEOFF JOHNS

Art by IVAN REIS & JOE PRADO

Backup Art by Gary Frank

40 pg, $3.99 US

Anticipation Level:   Bring it.

I hope you’re already reading Geoff Johns’ Aquaman because if you’re not, you’ll need to start with issue #14 of that series if you want to get the full effect of THRONE OF ATLANTIS. Cool name for a big Justice League cross-over event, don’t you think? Aquaman is a favorite of mine anyway so thankfully reading these two books in tandem won’t be a chore, but a joy. And even if this first chapter in the Justice League’s side of the saga isn’t up to snuff there’s always the glorious Shazaam backup to look forward to!
