Watch this: Gal Gadot / Wonder Woman theme lip-sync remix (video)

Let’s take a closer look at Gal Gadot, the model/actress who was just cast as Wonder Woman in Batman vs. Superman. She won the Miss Israel beauty pageant in 2004 and joined the Israeli Army in 2005, where she served for two years as a sports trainer in the Israel Defense Forces. That’s fantastic experience to have for someone who is going to be playing one of the most powerful female superheroes! If you were down on her casting because of her appearance, at least she has a lot of experience in the gym. Director Zack Snyder is known to demand a lot from his actors, physically. Just look at the intense training he had Henry Cavill go through for Man of Steel!

While I was researching some of Gadot’s acting work on YouTube, I stumbled upon a remix of one of Gadot’s most popular videos where she lip syncs the song “Lie” by Noy Alooshe. In the video above, a fan his replaced that song with the Wonder Woman television theme from 1975. Check it out!

Gadot decided to have a little fun in her dressing room and recorded the lip sync video while working on a Castro lingerie commercial. She’s definitely beautiful, but does she have the acting chops? She’s best known for her work in the last three Fast & Furious movies, and hasn’t done many movies outside of them. Below are clips from 2009′s Fast & Furious, 2011′s Fast Five, and 2013′s Fast & Furious 6.

I haven’t seen any of the Fast & Furious movies, so I had no idea who Gal Gadot was when the announcement was made. The Wonder Woman remix video gave me an excuse to share the information I’ve learned after reading up on her over the past few days. Hopefully all this is helpful if you didn’t know who she was either.

Much like when every actor in Hollywood met with Christopher Nolan for Batman Begins, I’d imagine that Zack Snyder probably met every actress for the part of Wonder Woman. Gal Gadot beat out everyone, and I’m excited to find out why she was the best choice when Batman vs. Superman hits theaters on July 17th, 2015.
