Besides the official title, the number one thing that fans are talking about online is who the villains will be in Batman vs. Superman. Lex Luthor is almost a given at this point, based on easter eggs in Man of Steel, a Q&A with director Zack Snyder, and a rumor from Variety that Warner Bros. wants Joaquin Phoenix for the part. Last month we learned that there will likely be two villains in the movie, both from the Superman universe. And today we have information from two sources that suggest who will be joining Lex Luthor to take out Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman.
According to Hollywood producer Daniel Alter (who previously revealed that Batman would be controlling drones from the Batcave, and was backed up by Batman on Film) Doomsday will be a villain in Batman vs. Superman. Big, strong actors have been rumored to a villain role, including Jason Momoa, Callan Mulvey, and even Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. It’s very likely that they could be up for Doomsday.
How would you feel about Lex Luthor and Doomsday being the two main villains of the movie? At some point Batman and Superman have to stop fighting and team-up to save the world, right? With filming scheduled to begin next month, it won’t be long until Warner Bros. puts out the official word.
