South by Southwest (SXSW) is an annual set of film, interactive media, and music festivals and conferences that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas. This year’s takes place from March 11th through March 20th, and according to some new posters it looks like Suicide Squad will have a big presence this year!
David Ayer tweeted out the poster above, and the cast posted the new posters below with the hashtags #SXSW and #HarleysTattooParlor. It sounds like Warner Bros. will be setting up a pop up tattoo shop right at the festival! Update: They are!
This is a play on Margot Robbie’s character Harley Quinn, who actually gave the cast real tattoos last summer right before they wrapped up filming. Robbie even spoke about the experience on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last month. My guess is Warner Bros. will be giving out temporary, wash-off tattoos like the ones above at SXSW… but who knows! Maybe Margot Robbie will be there in full Harley Quinn costume, ready to dish out the real deal.
