Director Guy Ritchie thinks he could make a great ‘Suicide Squad’ movie

Director Guy Ritchie was a guest on Variety’s “Playback” podcast this week to talk about his new Warner Bros. movie King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. During the conversation, Ritchie was asked if Warner Bros. had come to him for any of the upcoming DC Comics movies that they’re making.

“I quite fancy doing Suicide Squad 2, because I thought I could do a good job with it. I can’t do it because I’m doing something else,” Ritchie said. “But I’ve felt I could really do something with that.”

It sounds like Ritchie did have a chat with Warner Bros. about Suicide Squad 2, but things didn’t work out schedule wise. Last we heard, Warner Bros. had meetings with several directors, the most famous being Mel Gibson. Gibson seemed interested when he talked about Suicide Squad 2 at the Oscars in February.

But it sounds like Guy Ritchie has a vision for a Suicide Squad movie too. Would you like to see him direct Suicide Squad 3? Let me know in the comments below.
