‘Wonder Woman 2’ will take Gal Gadot to the Cold War in the 1980s

WONDER WOMAN

Earlier today, Screen Rant reported that Wonder Woman 2 will take place in the 1980s during the Cold War, and now The Wrap has come out and confirmed it with their own sources. Gal Gadot will be facing off against the Soviet Union this time around.

What’s more interesting is that Screen Rant says that Chris Pine will be returning as Steve Trevor. Spoiler alert… he died in Wonder Woman, so it’ll be interesting to see how they bring him back if that turns out to be true.

DC Films president Geoff Johns recently confirmed that he’s working on the Wonder Woman 2 story with Patty Jenkins, though she’s still negotiating a deal to return to direct the sequel as well. Perhaps they can get it done by Comic-Con, which will have a big DC Films panel on Saturday, July 22nd.

What do you think about Wonder Woman 2 being set during the Cold War in the 1980s? Let me know in the comments below.
