Anne Hathaway finally rides the Batpod in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’

The Dark Knight Rises wrapped up in Pittsburgh last night, but I wanted to share one last set video. We’ve seen the official still of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman on the Batpod, but for the past month, Hathaway’s stunt double has been having all the fun. That is, until now. Yesterday Anne Hathaway finally got to ride the Batpod, though she wasn’t driving. The Batpod was attached to the car in front of it, and Hathaway was pulled down the streets of Pittsburgh. There was a giant IMAX camera in front of her too, for some tight shots. Check out the last of the Pittsburgh set videos courtesy of PittsburghMovies.

‘The Dark Knight Rises’ wraps in Pittsburgh, Christopher Nolan says “thank you”

The Dark Knight Rises wrapped up in Pittsburgh today. The actors and crew arrived to the city in late July, and we’ve seen quite a bit of The Dark Knight Rises this past month. Christopher Nolan placed an ad in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, thanking the city of Pittsburgh. Thanks to Yurka from the Superhero Hype forums we have a scan. Here’s a huge list of the news to come out of the Pittsburgh shoot:

Now Nolan and crew are off to Los Angeles, where they’ll be doing some studio work, as well as on location shooting. After that, they’ll finish up The Dark Knight Rises this fall in New York.

Tom Hardy comments on ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ fan photos

The Dark Knight Rises wraps up in Pittsburgh tomorrow, and there have been a lot of fan photos and videos released online. Access Hollywood caught up with Tom Hardy, and asked if he thinks this material will hurt the overall film. Here’s an excerpt from the interview:

In recent weeks, dozens of photographs from the Pittsburgh set of “The Dark Knight Rises” have cropped up on the internet, but Tom Hardy, who plays Batman villain Bane in the project, isn’t worried the early un-authorized looks at the project will hurt director Christopher Nolan’s vision.

“No, I don’t think so,” Tom told Access Hollywood on Saturday as he promoted his newest box office feature, the Mixed Marital Arts-themed “Warrior,” in Beverly Hills.

“I think there’s a certain inevitability if you’re going to shoot in the middle of the street — that it’s very hard to block off the entire street from people taking photographs,” Tom continued. “But that doesn’t mean it’s going to be anything like the film. You have people taking photographs from a distance of what’s going on on the ground. It bears very little resemblance to what’s going on.”

Anne Hathaway talks ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ on Chelsea Lately

I think this is the last of Anne Hathaway interviews for a while, but she recently appeared on Chelsea Lately and once again The Dark Knight Rises and Catwoman were hot topics. This time, Hathaway reveals an interesting detail about her character of Selina Kyle… she’s “naughty”. Hathaway also explained that it takes three people to help her into the catsuit. Any volunteers for that job?

In case you missed them, check out Anne Hathaway on Conan and Regis & Kelly, where she talks more about The Dark Knight Rises and Catwoman.

Update: Check out this interview on PopSugar (3:48 mark) where Anne Hathaway has some nice things to say about her The Dark Knight Rises co-stars.

Anne Hathaway talks ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ on Regis & Kelly

Anne Hathaway continued doing press for her new movie, this time on Regis & Kelly. But once again, Catwoman and The Dark Knight Rises were the first topics of discussion. There’s not a whole lot of new information here, but Hathaway talks about filming in Pittsburgh, and what a dream come true it is to play Catwoman. Check it out.

Anne Hathaway also made an appearance on The Today Show this morning. She couldn’t say much when asked how her Catwoman differs from some of the other versions we’ve seen. Her response was “Chris Nolan has directed two Batman movies, and my version of Selina Kyle fits into Chris Nolan’s Gotham City”. You can check out that interview here (Catwoman talk starts at the 4:15 mark).

Anne Hathaway talks ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ on Conan

Anne Hathaway was on Conan last night to promote her new movie, One Day. Luckily though, Conan started the interview with some Catwoman talk. They talked about the first official photo of Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises, as well as all the training Hathaway had to go through. Hathaway revealed that she works out six days a week for her new role, for as much as six hours a day. The downside of all this training? Hathaway has lost her “badonkadonk”. Check out the fun interview from last night’s Conan.

‘The Dark Knight Rises’ crew visits children’s hospital, shares movie secrets

The Dark Knight Rises crew members visited the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh recently, to share some “movie magic” with the kids. Chris Corbould (Special Effects Supervisor) and Mychael Bates (Property Master) showed the children action scenes from Inception, James Bond, Batman Begins, and The Dark Knight. Corbould explained the special effects that went into making it all appear real. Bates talked about all the little details that go into The Dark Knight Rises props to help make Pittsburgh look and feel like Gotham City. It’s great that Corbould and Bates were able to take time out of their busy schedule to visit the children. Check out the WTAE video report on their visit at the source link below.
