Variety reports that Rob Brown has joined the cast of The Dark Knight Rises. You may know Brown for his work in Finding Forrester, Coach Carter, and The Express. Brown currently stars in the HBO series Treme. As with most casting news, Brown’s role is unknown at this time.

Filming is going to wrap up in Los Angeles next month, and then Magnus Rex The Dark Knight Rises will finish up production in New York. A casting call went out today for extras in the New York City area – male or female, 18 or older. No acting experience is necessary and some specific roles include guards, soldiers, and police officers. Want to be a part of The Dark Knight Rises? Answer the casting call!

Deadline reports that CSI: Miami co-star Adam Rodriguez has landed a small role in The Dark Knight Rises. No other details were given, but we can add Rodriguez to the long list of TV actors who will be in Christopher Nolan’s Batman finale.

Tomorrow the much anticipated football scene for The Dark Knight Rises will film at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, and it looks like some pro NFL players will be joining the Gotham Rogues. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger will be an extra.  Roethlisberger will be joined by some of his teammates — Hines Ward, Willie Colon, Maurkice Pouncey, Mike Wallace, Heath Miller, Aaron Smith, Ryan Clark, Troy Polamalu, James Farrior and Casey Hampton. Back in June, we learned that a football game would be taking place in The Dark Knight Rises, and that extras would be needed in August. Now we know exactly where this scene will be shot. The Pittsburgh Steelers have confirmed that their stadium, Heinz Field, will be part of The Dark Knight Rises. The Steelers posted a link to the extras casting call, and explain that they’re looking for enough people to “fill their stadium”. Heinz Field holds 65,050 people! A massive casting call in Pittsburgh for The Dark Knight Rises wrapped up a few weeks ago. If you didn’t make it out to the audition and happen to play football, you may still be able to participate in Christopher Nolan’s epic Batman finale. Sports Studio is looking for football players, ages 22 to 35, with extensive football experience. Filming will take place in Pittsburgh on Saturday, August 7th from 7am-7pm. Auditions for The Dark Knight Rises extras wrapped up this past weekend in Pittsburgh. WPXI Pittsburgh interviewed Tammy Smith and Nancy Mosser, who were both in charge of the extras casting. The ladies talked about why a large budget movie like The Dark Knight Rises uses a working title, and they touched on some of the roles the extras will be playing. Meanwhile, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports that over 8,000 people attended the casting call which took place over the past two weekends. Wow!
