Last Friday members of the press got to see The Dark Knight Rises and the opportunity to interview director Christopher Nolan and the cast (minus Tom Hardy, who is currently working on a new movie). Film critic Jake Hamilton asked some really great questions, and combined all his interviews into one massive 21 minute video. Hamilton assured me that his interviews are spoiler-free, but you should always proceed with a little bit of caution this late in the game.

Update 06/04/12: Warner Bros. has requested that the footage be removed. You can still find it with a little searching on sites like YouTube and DailyMotion. Hopefully they see what a positive response the video got and release it online ASAP.

Christopher Nolan, Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt just took the stage at the MTV Movie Awards and showed off some amazing new footage from The Dark Knight Rises! Check it out for yourself, and let me know what you think in the comments below.

The second time [on The Dark Knight Rises] I was playing God, so I ignored him. Kicked him a bit, that kind of thing. Gary Oldman is one of my heroes, I did nothing but glean from him.

Collider caught up with Gary Oldman at his 3-day, 7-film retrospective at New York’s Landmark Sunshine Cinema. During the Q&A portion, Oldman talked about The Dark Knight Rises, and described one of his favorite scenes. Don’t worry, he doesn’t give away any major details.

He gave up details on a key scene in The Dark Knight Rises: “There’s an emotional scene coming up in the next Batman, which I am obviously, absolutely sworn to secrecy about… They would kill me.  Well, I’d do the press junket and then they’d kill me.”  He said, “Watching Michael Caine work, as Alfred, was a great lesson for me.  Just focus, concentration.  He has this emotional scene.  I’m kidding you not.  It was tears and the whole thing.  And it’s ‘Take 1.’  (Oldman snaps his fingers) He got it.  ‘Take 2′ (snaps his fingers again), Got it.  Take 3 (snaps his fingers) Got it.  He’s just on the money.  Every single time.

Could this be the scene from The Dark Knight Rises that we saw in trailer #2? “You are as precious to me as you were to your own mother and father. I swore to them that I would protect you…and I haven’t.” It seems like that will definitely be an emotional scene between Alfred and Bruce. I know there hasn’t been a lot of The Dark Knight Rises news lately, but this is a fun story to share. While speaking with CNN, Gary Oldman talked about the time he lost his Batman script in his hotel room. Unlike the other actors, Oldman’s script did contain the ending. Fortunately, he did find it after about 20 minutes of searching… but can you imagine the feeling of panic he must have had? Check out the video for the full story.

Digital Spy caught up with Gary Oldman recently and got his thoughts on wrapping up Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy with The Dark Knight Rises. When asked what he’ll miss the most, Oldman replied “the people”. While actors come and go, Oldman explained that the crew members have been right there with him for the past seven years — from the caterers to the camera operators. Oldman ended the interview by saying they’ll “go out with a bang” in The Dark Knight Rises. Check out the video for the full interview.
