First look at ‘Batman: Arkham Origins’ action figures

The NY Post has revealed the first look at Batman: Arkham Origins action figures. The two characters shown off today are of our favorite hero and the game’s main villain, Black Mask. The figures are 6.75″ tall and will be available this October, just in time for Batman: Arkham Origins’ October 25th release date. ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ LEGO sets coming in 2013

LEGO announced a The Dark Knight Rises set today at New York Comic Con. The first set, called “‘The Bat vs. Bane”, features Batman’s new air vehicle and Bane’s stolen Tumbler. It also comes with mini LEGO versions of Batman, Bane, and Commissioner Gordon. No specific release date has been announced, we just know that it’ll be coming out sometime in 2013. Stay tuned to Batman-News.com for all the latest.

Speaking of LEGO… check out this amazing LEGO Batcave which was built by Carlyle Livingston II and Wayne Hussey. The duo used over 20,000 LEGO parts and it took over 800 hours to build. The whole thing weighs over 100 pounds. Amazing!

‘The Dark Knight Rises’ limited edition poster books available now

ClassicHeroes.de has released several officially licensed The Dark Knight Rises poster books, including a limited edition book with 74 posters. The posters are 8.3 x 11.7″ and feature Batman, Catwoman, Bane, and even Commissioner Gordon. Some books will be available on eBay, but you can purchase all of them directly from ClassicHeroes.de as well. The company is based in Germany, but they’ve set up a page for fans in the United States. Links to where you can purchase the books are listed below:

Last night Warner Bros. announced a limited edition The Dark Knight Rises Blu-ray combo pack which features a broken Bat-cowl. Today, we have a lot more details thanks to a very detailed press release. The Dark Knight Rises will be available on Blu-ray, DVD, digital download, and VOD on December 4th. Warner Bros. will be releasing a special The Dark Knight Rises companion app for iOS and Android which will sync with the Blu-ray disc via BD-Live for even more exclusive bonus content. Fans who purchase the Blu-ray will be happy to know that it features nearly one hour of IMAX footage, and it’ll fill your screen just like The Dark Knight Blu-ray.

Additionally on December 4th, Warner Bros. will be releasing “The Dark Knight Trilogy Limited Edition Giftset” featuring Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises all in one collection on Blu-ray and DVD. The trilogy giftset will also include a premium book exclusive to the collection. Warner Bros. also plans to release “The Dark Knight Trilogy Ultimate Collector’s Edition” in 2013.

‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Blu-ray/DVD officially announced, coming December 4th

Warner Bros. accidentally let news of the Blu-ray/DVD for The Dark Knight Rises slip last week, but now it’s all official. Warner Bros. announced exclusively to Entertainment Weekly today that The Dark Knight Rises will be released on Blu-ray combo pack, DVD, and digital download on December 4th. Here are some of the bonus features and extras you can expect to see:

The Blu-ray combo pack is stuffed with a bunch of extras, from a documentary about the Batmobile, where all five Batmobiles are together for the first time, to Ending the Knight, an in-depth look featuring about 17 featurettes at how Nolan and his production team made The Dark Knight Rises, from Batman vs. Bane to totally demolishing a city street. Both the Blu-ray and DVD include a featurette called The Journey of Bruce Wayne. There are also trailers and art galleries.

The special broken cowl packaging that the Blu-ray combo pack will ship in is pictured above. To check out the cover art for the UK release, click here.
