A picture has been making its way around the internet which shows Tom Hardy as Bane performing a “backbreaker” on a The Dark Knight Rises crew member. Fans have speculated if we’ll see Bane perform this very move on Batman in the movie, but I think Tom Hardy was just having a little fun with a huge fan. What do you guys think? Will Bane “break the Bat” in The Dark Knight Rises?

The Dark Knight Rises took a short trip from New York City to Newark, New Jersey for filming today. The cast and crew will be in NJ tomorrow, before heading back to the Big Apple. Marion Cotillard and Morgan Freeman were the only actors spotted on set, NJ Patch has the full report:

It’s not every day you see celebrities Morgan Freeman and Marion Cotillard wandering around Newark City Hall.

But that’s because it wasn’t business as usual Thursday: The city’s epicenter was turned into what appeared to be a mock infirmary and ghetto, with cots lining the hallways and people dressed as vagrants, starting fires and wielding machine guns.

The scene was like something out of a movie — a Batman movie.

“The Dark Knight Rises,” the third installment of the Caped Crusader franchise, started filming Thursday in downtown Newark for the first of its two-day shoot.

One of Donald Trump’s buildings is doubling as Wayne Enterprises, and we get a good look at Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne and Joseph Gordon-Levitt as officer John Blake. The Dark Knight Rises filming has been completed in Los Angeles. Earlier this weekend there was an official wrap party for the cast and crew. The photo above was tweeted by Debbie, a medic who was on the Los Angeles set in case an actor was injured. That’s a pretty cool looking t-shirt, as Gordon said in Batman Begins — “I’ve got to get me one of those”. The Dark Knight Rises did a lot of on location shooting in LA, but they also did some studio work. Here’s a list of the news to come out of the Los Angeles shoot:

This is pretty cool. The Batwing was filmed this weekend flying high above buildings in Los Angeles. How did Christopher Nolan manage to make this as real as possible? It was being carried by a helicopter! It’s unclear if they were just transporting the Batwing to a roof, or if they were simulating it flying, but either way this is a cool set video to check out. Don’t worry… no spoilers here!

On a related note, I’ve been notified that the “Batwing” is being called the “Bat” by people working on the production of The Dark Knight Rises. Hopefully Warner Bros. will release an official photo with an official name soon.
