Warner Bros. just sent over a very cool The Dark Knight Rises infographic which highlights all of Batman’s vehicles from Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy. The Tumbler, the Bat-pod, the Bat… which Bat-vehicle is your favorite? Check out the full infographic after the break, and leave your thoughts in the comments.

Have you ever wanted to design your own Batmobile? Now you can!

According to Warner Bros., the online designer was built using the The Dark Knight Rises’ 3-D models for the Tumbler (camouflaged versions of which have been spotted within the vicinity of the upcoming movie’s big bad Bane). The interactive tool gives users 360-degree views during the customization process, during which they can choose from an array of preloaded colors or upload their own patterns and images. Bullet heads can even add a machine gun or rocket launcher. (Check out Wired’s crimson Batmobile above.)

Once created, the custom mods can be downloaded as wallpaper and shown off in The Dark Knight Rises Tumbler Gallery or the usual social networking suspects. The rebooted Batmobiles can also be taken for a virtual spin on the test track at Wayne Industries‘ Applied Sciences division, by their creators and other interested parties. Those paying attention will note a special section of the testing area wherein Tumbler jockeys can customize the track background as well.

How’s this for some marketing? Warner Bros. announced today that The Dark Knight Rises fans will have a chance to see the Tumbler and Bat-Pod up close and personal as part of a coast-to-coast tour leading up to the July 20th release of The Dark Knight Rises. Here’s the press release:

BURBANK, Calif., May 10, 2012 — Fans who have been eagerly awaiting the July 20 release of Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ “The Dark Knight Rises” will have an opportunity to get a firsthand look at the Tumbler and the Bat-Pod, which are rolling out on a coast-to-coast tour, sponsored by Mountain Dew and IMAX(R).

Both the Tumbler and the Bat-Pod have served as high-powered modes of transportation for Batman in Christopher Nolan’s earlier blockbusters–with the Tumbler first appearing in “Batman Begins,” and the Bat-Pod being introduced in “The Dark Knight.” They will both be featured in different ways in the hugely anticipated finale to the director’s Batman trilogy, “The Dark Knight Rises.”

More and more promotional material is being revealed as we get closer to the July 20th release date of The Dark Knight Rises. Today I came across some awesome promo art that features Batman and Bane fighting in the snow in the streets of Gotham. We also get a cool look at Batman with his new air vehicle, the Bat, and the Batpod. Check them out in the gallery.

Update: Turns out the picture of Batman on the Batpod is from The Dark Knight, but I’ll leave it up since it’s still cool.

Last Friday Warner Bros. brought out all five Batmobiles for a parade down the streets of Burbank, California. According to Josh Turchetta, who shot the footage above, Warner Bros. was filming a bonus feature segment for The Dark Knight Rises’ Blu-ray release. Legendary Pictures posted photos from the event on their Facebook page. It’s cool to see all of the Batmobiles together, so I’ve got to ask…

Last week we got a good look at upcoming toys from The Dark Knight Rises, including some by Mattel. Time to Play caught up with Mattel at the Toy Fair and showed off “The Bat”, Batman’s new hovercraft vehicle in The Dark Knight Rises. The toy includes an ejection seat in case Batman needs to make a quick exit. I wonder if we’ll see Batman flying out of “The Bat” in the actual movie?

Don’t call it the Batwing! The mysterious flying vehicle that we saw during the filming of The Dark Knight Rises has a name — “The Bat”. A source told me in October that it was called “The Bat” by the crew and now it’s official. The news comes to us via a FCC filing from an upcoming Hot Wheels toy. The Tumbler, The Batpod, and now… The Bat. What do you think about the official name of Batman’s new hovercraft? Let me know in the comments!

This is pretty cool. The Batwing was filmed this weekend flying high above buildings in Los Angeles. How did Christopher Nolan manage to make this as real as possible? It was being carried by a helicopter! It’s unclear if they were just transporting the Batwing to a roof, or if they were simulating it flying, but either way this is a cool set video to check out. Don’t worry… no spoilers here!

On a related note, I’ve been notified that the “Batwing” is being called the “Bat” by people working on the production of The Dark Knight Rises. Hopefully Warner Bros. will release an official photo with an official name soon.
