MTV caught up with Batman Begins and The Dark Knight composer Hans Zimmer last night at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards. Zimmer that Christopher Nolan has already filled him in on the plans for The Dark Knight Rises, and he even hinted that he knew the plot and who the villains are. He was also asked if his new score would incorporate themes from the last two Batman movies, here’s what he had to say:

“Sure, but the thing about Chris [Nolan] and myself is, of course what we try to do is we treat each one with the autonomy it deserves. I try to invent and reinvent and not just go over old ground. I think that’s the thing that was so exciting for people on ‘The Dark Knight.’ They knew we were doing a ‘Batman’ movie, but they had no idea it was going to be that sort of a ‘Batman’ movie.”
