Batcave entrance to be shot in Wales for ‘The Dark Knight Rises’?

WalesOnline is reporting that Wales will be home of the new Batcave in The Dark Knight Rises. According to the website, some crew was spotted filming at the Brecon Beacons waterfall. We had heard reports that the Batcave set was being built in Los Angeles, so I’d imagine that this location in Wales will be used for the waterfall entrance we saw in Batman Begins. WalesOnline also gives one other interesting piece of information, I’d consider it a minor spoiler, so read on if you choose.

Spoiler

One insider who witnessed the filming said: “They were there for a couple of days just a few weeks ago. I understand it’s going to be used in the opening sequence of the film, as Batman discovers the Batcave.”

Fun fact: Christian Bale was born in Wales, though he and his family moved out of the country when he was 2 years old.
