USA Today caught up with Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Toronto at the premiere of his new movie, 50/50. USA Today was upfront and asked Gordon-Levitt what he could tell them about The Dark Knight Rises. His response? “Nothing”. He was willing to talk about reteaming with his Inception director Christopher Nolan, however. Here’s what he had to say:
I can tell you that one of the things I admire most about Mr. Nolan is that he understands that the story begins before the movie does. He’s already telling the story that he’s got cooked up. He’s a master storyteller. Every little bit of information he lets out, he does it at the proper time,” says Gordon-Levitt, in Toronto for his wry cancer dramedy 50/50. “Far be it for me to preempt the rhythm of his. This is the second actor from The Dark Knight Rises who has told us to “Trust Nolan”. Last month Tom Hardy’s words for the doubters were “Trust me. Trust Nolan”. Do you trust Nolan? I do!
