July 20th is getting closer by the day, and marketing for The Dark Knight Rises is ramping up. Earlier this week Mountain Dew and Warner Bros. announced a marketing campaign that’s set for June, and now television ads are starting to run. This week, ESPN aired an ad for the NBA playoffs which featured footage from The Dark Knight Rises trailer #3. We started seeing TV spots for The Dark Knight around this time back in 2008, so it’s very likely Warner Bros. will air the first “real” TV spot for The Dark Knight Rises sometime within the next couple weeks during the NBA playoffs.
