The internet was buzzing yesterday about the possibility of a Catwoman spin-off featuring Anne Hathaway’s character from The Dark Knight Rises. Unfortunately if you look at her full quote, it becomes clear that this probably won’t happen:
I think it would be lovely to see more of her but only if it’s with the right people. She lives in this Gotham City and so it would have to be established by the people who have made this Gotham City. For me, at least.
Anne Hathaway’s Catwoman lives in Christopher Nolan’s Gotham City, and he’s stated many times in interviews over the past couple years that he’s ready to move on from Batman.
