Batman has been on the silver screen for over twenty years now. It all started back in 1989 when director Tim Burton and Michael Keaton redefined the comic book movie with Batman. Burton and Keaton returned in 1992 with Batman Returns. In 1995 director Joel Schumacher and Val Kilmer gave us a more colorful Gotham City in Batman Forever. In 1997 Schumacher returned with a new Batman… George Clooney in Batman & Robin. I think we all know how that went. Then in 2005 a relatively unknown director named Christopher Nolan and a relatively unknown actor named Christian Bale rebooted the franchise in Batman Begins. The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises came out over the next 7 years to deliver one of the best movie trilogies of all time.
