‘Justice League’ villain revealed?

A Justice League movie is definitely under development, and it’ll be out in the summer of 2015 if all goes according to Warner Bros. plans. So which villain will Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and the rest of DC’s heroes be up against?

Latino Review is reporting that Darkseid will be the villain in Justice League. If you’re unfamiliar with DC’s most powerful foe, Wikipedia has more details:

Darkseid (pronounced Dark-side) is a fictional character that appears in comic books published by DC Comics. The character first appeared in Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen #134 (November 1970) and was created by writer-artist Jack Kirby.

Darkseid is one of the most powerful characters in the DC Universe. Debuting in the Bronze Age of Comic Books, he has appeared in four decades of DC Comics publications, featuring prominently in the New Gods titles and limited series as the recurring nemesis of the New Gods and Superman (and by extension the Justice League).

Latino Review has a great track record, and was the website to break the news about Heath Ledger being cast as the Joker back in the summer of 2006.

If another recent rumor is to be believed, Justice League’s Batman will be The Dark Knight Rises’ John Blake, with Joseph Gordon-Levitt reprising the role. Things are definitely starting to pick up, and Justice League is expected to begin shooting next year. Stay tuned to Batman-News.com for all the latest.
