That’s right! This morning it was announced that Eternia will clash with the DC Universe in a 6 issue mini-series by writer Kieth Giffen and artist Dexter Soy. DC Universe vs. Masters of the Universe begins August 28th and I’ve included the full announcement here:
After narrowly escaping his last battle with He-Man, Skeletor has fled to the most unexpected realm to recover: EARTH! Once there, he sets a plan in motion to siphon off Earth’s core magic. Forging an unlikely hunting party, He-Man and company go in search of Skeletor. Finding themselves at odds with the heroes of the DC Universe, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe must find a way to stop Skeletor and his mysterious new master!
And how will the Masters of the Universe respond to finding themselves within the DC Universe?
“Culture shock lives! Actually, they’ve come to stop Skeletor from doing to the DCU what he’s always wanted to do to Eternia,” Giffen teased. “By the way… what makes you think Skeletor came to the DCU voluntarily?”
So what’s everybody think? Do we have any He-Man fans among us? Do you think She-Ra will make an appearance? Honestly, even though I hyped up the idea of Batman brawling with Prince Adam’s alter-ego, it’s probably a lot more likely that Superman will fight He-Man while Batman deals with Man-at-Arms in a classic superhero-crossover misunderstanding before they team up to bring down Skeletor.
