‘Man of Steel’ easter egg will make Batman fans happy

The press got to see the highly anticipated Superman movie Man of Steel earlier this week and certain details are starting to come online. Last month director Zack Snyder promised there would be references to the DC Universe and he definitely followed through. The big one that Steve Weintraub of Collider just revealed is that the movie included a reference to Wayne Enterprises! The context in which it appears is a very minor spoiler, but I’ll put it in spoiler tags out of respect for those want to try to spot it on their own.

Spoiler

The Wayne Enterprises logo is on a satellite that Zod destroys.

Weintraub said he didn’t even notice the reference during the movie, so if you blink you might miss it. His colleagues at Omelete did spot the Wayne Enterprises easter egg and asked director Zack Snyder if he would like to see Batman and Superman team-up in Man of Steel 2. Here’s what he had to say:

“I don’t know. Everything is interesting at this point. And don’t forget that Lex is out there, doing who knows what…”

Do you think Batman might appear in Man of Steel 2, or is Zack Snyder planting the seeds for the Justice League movie? It’s been reported that Warner Bros. will ask Snyder to direct Justice League if Man of Steel is a success and early buzz seems to suggest it will be. There’s definitely a reason Wayne Enterprises was included in Man of Steel… let me hear your theories in the comments below!
