A couple of weeks ago I came across an image of what appeared to be “The Dark Knight Trilogy Ultimate Collector’s Edition” boxset on the Superhero Hype forums. I wasn’t sure of its authenticity and there wasn’t any new information about what’s included on the discs, so I decided not to share it here. There still isn’t any information about what’s actually included, but this image of the boxset has been getting a lot of attention on movie sites this week, so I thought I’d bring it up. It looks like the boxset will include 9 discs, books, and comes packaged with small versions of the Tumbler, Bat-pod, and Bat.
I think the images are genuine. I’ve reached out to Warner Bros. for confirmation and I’ll report back if I hear anything. We know that “The Dark Knight Trilogy Ultimate Collector’s Edition” is coming out this fall, so I would expect some official details to come out this summer. Maybe even as early as next month at Comic Con?
