10 reasons why a Batman theme park would be awesome

9. If Harry Potter Can…

Harry-potter

The enduring popularity of the world’s two Harry Potter theme parks – the Wizarding World and WB’s Studio tour in London should represent the perfect proof for the studio that tentpole properties are a sure-fire route to theme park success.

And though it might pain some Batman fans to admit it, there is a lot of synergy in the Harry Potter brand and the Batman universe. Both are set in rich and broad reaching environments, with enough grand stages to suit a segmented theme park, and both have a rich selection of villains to offer a darker vein to fans.

Harry Potter has Diagon Alley, Batman would have Gotham’s streets; Potter has Hogwarts, Batman has The Bat Cave: there is more than enough intrigue in the world created by DC to justify the same sort of treatment as JK Rowling’s famous wizarding world has already enjoyed twice.

Batman has been around an awful lot longer than Harry Potter, and if the teenage wizard is considered worthy of such a grand set-up, the possibilities for Batman must surely be infinite.
