A few days ago Justin Timberlake was a guest on Fresh 102.7’s “Jim & Kim” radio show to promote his new movie Runner Runner. Ben Affleck happens to be his co-star in that movie, so naturally the hosts asked Timberlake what he thought of Affleck as Batman. Of course, Timberlake said that he liked the news. The hosts then asked if Timberlake would be the Robin to Affleck’s Batman in 2015’s Batman vs. Superman. Timberlake didn’t like that idea, but explained who he would like to play…
Not a chance in hell. I ain’t playing Robin. I have no aspiration to ever be a superhero in a movie. I just don’t. Now villain! I’ll tell you the villain I want to play more than anything because I grew up loving Batman, funny enough, is The Riddler. The Riddler is my favorite villain. The Riddler was like a sociopath. He was like proper crazy. So if I’m gonna play crazy, I want to play like proper crazy. I’m ready. The Riddler.
Obviously the odds of Timberlake playing The Riddler in Batman vs. Superman are very slim… but what if Ben Affleck does end up directing and starring in the next solo Batman movie.
