Josh Brolin started thinking about ‘Batman vs. Superman’, defends Ben Affleck (video)

Last weekend Josh Brolin revealed that he was in talks to play Batman in Batman vs. Superman before Ben Affleck got the role. Intrigued by that news, MTV’s Josh Horowitz decided to ask Brolin more about it in a new interview. He admitted that he began thinking about the role, and what director Zack Snyder was going to do with an older, wiser version of Batman. Brolin said he really liked the idea and thought it was an interesting take on the character. He then went on  to defend Ben Affleck, who has been receiving a lot of criticism online and in the media:

Ben’s gotten so much flack from this, I actually got angry — for him, not at him. Everybody else was angry at him. Now I’m curious to see what he does. How are you going to bring up a movie that Ben did 10 or 15 years ago and try and [criticize his talent]? I mean, come on. The guy’s matured and grown and look at the work he’s doing now. I’m going to defend him literally until the death.
