Variety is reporting that Warner Bros. is looking at Joaquin Phoenix for a villain role in Batman vs. Superman. Phoenix stars in Warner Bros.’ new movie Her, and the studio is eager to work with him again.
Variety believes that Phoenix is being considered for the role of Lex Luthor. We’re heard other names like Jason Momoa and Callan Mulvey come up recently, but Variety says they likely won’t land the main villain role if cast. Warner Bros. wants an Oscar-nominated actor for the role.
