‘Batman vs. Superman’ Michigan production budget revealed

A few weeks ago we learned that Batman vs. Superman will be the largest movie production in the history of the state of Michigan. Filming will take place in seven sound stages, as well as on location. Now thanks to CBS Detroit, we have a few more details about next month’s shoot, including the production budget.

Michelle Grinnell, public relations manager for the Michigan Film Office, revealed that the production budget for the Michigan shoot is about $131 million. The entire budget will be much higher, when you factor in the other locations and post-production work. Batman vs. Superman will also create 6,000 jobs for extras. If you’d like to get involved, Grinnell suggests that you head on over to the Michigan Film Office’s website for more details.

Batman vs. Superman is scheduled to begin filming in February. That means we can expect some more official casting announcements, and perhaps even the first look at Ben Affleck as Batman very soon! As always, stay tuned to Batman News for all of the latest. I’ll be providing the best coverage online of Batman vs. Superman.
