Jason Momoa denies ‘Batman vs. Superman’ villain rumors

Conan the Barbarian

Last month The Hollywood Reporter heard that Jason Momoa was in talks for a Batman vs. Superman role, presumably a villain. That rumor can be put to bed now, IGN caught up with Momoa and asked about his involvement with Zack Synder’s Man of Steel sequel:

“It’s just rumors,” Momoa told IGN. “I want to say something amazing, but I can’t comment on rumors. It’s flattering.” Adding, “I’m not involved in it.”

“Maybe that’s how it came out,” the actor said when we reflected that he seemed like a no-brainer for a superhero film. “Maybe someone said, ‘You should be in this!’ and I said, ‘Yeah that would be great!’ And it just went too far.”

Perhaps The Hollywood Reporter was right and Momoa did talk to Warner Bros. about the role. But he says he’s not involved, so it probably went to someone else. You know who’s tall, big, and strong like Momoa? Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. You know who confirmed he’d be working on a Warner Bros./DC Comics project in 2014? Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Just speculating here… and I encourage you all to do the same in the comments below!
