Report: Jason Momoa was up for Aquaman in ‘Batman vs. Superman’

Conan the Barbarian

Earlier this week we learned that Batman vs. Superman and a Justice League movie may be shooting back-to-back. Apparently Warner Bros. wants each member to have a cameo in Batman vs. Superman, to set up a big 2016 Justice League movie.

Jason Momoa has been tied to Batman vs. Superman by several sources over the past few months. Based on his size it was assumed that he was up for a villain, but according to Badass Digest, he was actually up for the role of Aquaman:

I was recently told by a very, very trusted source that the role Jason Momoa was up for (but is currently denying) is definitely Aquaman, but it’s essentially a cameo setting up the next movie.

Just last weekend Momoa denied having any connection to Batman vs. Superman. Now you have to wonder if he was telling the truth, or if he was trying to keep his secret Aquaman cameo under wraps.

There have been so many rumors surrounding Batman vs. Superman, but we should be getting some official news very soon. The Man of Steel sequel is scheduled to begin shooting in Michigan and Illinois in just a few weeks. Stay tuned to Batman News for all the latest!
