Suicide Squad joins the list of canceled titles

Yesterday, DC Comics released their full list of solicitations for the month of April, 2014. Although the cancellation of books like Teen Titans and Justice League of America were announced ahead of time, fans were surprised to read “FINAL ISSUE” in all capital letters when they skimmed through the solicitations for Nightwing, Superman Unchained, and now Suicide Squad. Most of these titles are concluding as a result of what’s to come in Forever Evil except for JLA, which will become an all-new title called Justice League United, and Superman Unchained, which is ending due to the increasingly busy schedule of Scott Snyder and Jim Lee. Ann Nocenti’s Catwoman is still not canceled.

In the ashes of FOREVER EVIL, A.R.G.U.S. and Task Force X leader Amanda Waller must face the consequences of her failure to protect the United States from the Crime Syndicate.

What canceled comic will you miss the most? What all-new titles would you like to see take their place? Although DC’s line is called “The New 52,” we actually haven’t had a total of 52 titles in a very long time. New comics coming out in April include Justice League United, Secret Origins, Batman Eternal, Forever Evil Aftermath: Batman vs. Bane (one-shot), Aquaman and The Others, and Sinestro.
