Ben Affleck begins work on ‘Batman vs. Superman’ this summer

Last month Warner Bros. announced that Batman vs. Superman’s release date was pushed back to 2016 and that production would begin in the second quarter of this year. A conflicting report from Deadline came out a week later, stating that production had not been delayed and that all of the major actors were needed right away. That rumor can now be debunked.

Thanks to a new interview with Ben Affleck’s wife Jennifer Garner, we know exactly when Ben Affleck will begin work on Batman vs. Superman. While promoting her new movie Draft Day on a Detroit radio station, Garner had the following to say:

I’ve been to Detroit once. I’ll be there this summer, all summer. [Ben] is filming. “Batman” is shooting… or whatever it’s called. I don’t know what it’s called. “Superman with Batman”… whatever it is. But he is shooting this summer, so we’ll be there.

Ha, Superman with Batman would be an amazing title! Since Ben Affleck is shooting this summer, hopefully that doesn’t put a delay on the first photo of him as Batman. It’s rumored to be coming in late February/early March.

Check out Garner’s comments around the 3:00 mark.
