Batman: Arkham Origins had an incredible story and amazing gameplay. There was just one problem… it was filled with bugs and glitches. It was honestly one of the buggiest games I’ve ever played, and it clearly wasn’t ready for its October release date. WB Games Montreal has released a number of patches to try to fix all of the problems, but many still remain. Those hoping for another patch are out of luck. Warner Bros. posted the following announcement on the Batman: Arkham Origins message board:
Hi all,
The team is currently working hard on the upcoming story DLC and there currently are no plans for releasing another patch to address the issues that have been reported on the forums.
If we do move forward with creating a new patch, it will try to address the progression blocking bugs for players, not the minor glitches that do not prevent one from continuing to play. The issues that are not progression blockers will unfortunately no longer be addressed.
We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused for some of you, and want to thank you for having been patient.
I guess we should appreciate their honesty, but it’s kind of a slap in the face to fans. That basically translates to “we know there are problems with the $60 game you already paid for, but our focus is on the story DLC which will make us even more money”. At least there’s that upcoming game from Rocksteady to look forward to.
