Awwwww snap! We got the coat, son! The Dark Knight Rises coat is cannon!
And that’s pretty much the only new and positive observation I have to make about Forever Evil: Arkham War #6. Goodnight, everybody!
Recommended If…
- You want some over-the-top shut-off-your-brain comic booky fun
- All the bad guys turning into roid-raging monsters sounds like a good idea
- You’re more interested in Scott Eaton’s visuals than characterization or plot, writer Peter J. Tomasi apparently saves those two elements for the Batman & ___ series alone
- Issues #1-5 are already in your collection and you might as well finish the set– it is NOT a new reader friendly comic
Overall
It’s really just more of the same only this time a little worse because most of the villains are the size of The Hulk (it was a terrible idea in David Finch’s Batman: The Dark Knight and it’s a terrible idea now). If you liked the nonsensical never-ending fight sequence quality of the previous issues then by all means have at it but if you have been as consistently disappointed in Arkham War as I have then you have no reason whatsoever to believe it has made any improvement with this finale (actually, it’s not really the finale, we still have the one-shot Forever Evil Aftermath: Batman Vs. Bane)
