‘Batman vs. Superman’ to shoot in Yorkville, Illinois in the fall (update)

Update: After speaking with the Illinois Film Office director Betsy Steinberg, Chicago Tribune has updated their story. They now say that Batman vs. Superman will be shooting in Yorkville, Illinois in the fall, not in May as they originally reported.

Superman is heading home! The Kent Farm set from Man of Steel was rebuilt late last year to get ready for filming in February. As you know, Batman vs. Superman got delayed, and so did that scheduled shoot.

Now Chicago Tribune is reporting that Zack Snyder and his crew will be heading back to Yorkville, Illinois in mid-May to shoot some scenes for Batman vs. Superman.

Early this month Zack Snyder hinted that production would begin in April, and costume designer Michael Wilkinson echoed that claim. That means that it’s possible we’ll see some Batman vs. Superman set photos even before they head back to Yorkville, Illinois in May. As always, stay tuned to Batman News for all the latest!
