Shots fired! ‘Captain America’ cast trash talks ‘Batman vs. Superman’ (video)

Oh it’s definitely on now! Last week it was announced that Captain America 3 would be going up against Batman vs. Superman at the box office on May 6th, 2016 and Marvel definitely isn’t backing down. To be fair, they had the date first, and they intend to stand their ground. At a press conference for the UK premiere of Captain America: The Winter Soldier today, the cast was asked about their showdown with Warner Bros.

“When two cars are speeding at each other, one of them has to veer out of the way at some point”, said Captain America: The Winter Soldier co-director Joe Russo. Actor Anthony Mackie definitely wasn’t shy, and I thought his trash talk was actually quite humorous. Even the legendary Samuel L. Jackson chimed in and said “there’s Marvel where you have heroes, and there’s DC where you have interesting bad guys”.

A lot of people in the movie industry think that Warner Bros. will end up moving the Batman vs. Superman date again. It’s entertaining to see the Marvel actors having fun with this rivalry but whether Warner Bros. decides to back down or fight back still remains to be seen. Watch the smackdown occur in the video above.
