Cory Michael Smith has been cast as Edward Nygma, aka The Riddler, in Gotham. He recently appeared in the HBO miniseries Olive Kitteridge.
In the upcoming FOX show, Nygma is a brilliant young forensic scientist working for Gotham PD and a penchant for speaking in … rather cryptic language. Inquisitive, eccentric and outgoing — yet socially awkward — he wants to be liked, but he doesn’t quite know how.
Cory Michael Smith only makes a brief appearance in the pilot episode of Gotham, but will likely return as a series regular.
