Diane Lane played Superman’s mom Martha Kent in Man of Steel and she’s coming back for the sequel. In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Lane explained that most of the cast and crew headed to Detroit a couple of weeks ago for camera tests.
The actress told THR that she just came back from Detroit, where they’re doing camera tests for the highly-anticipated sequel. She said that she filmed a few shots of her feeling the Superman costume and joked that she hadn’t had the chance to do the same with the Batman costume.
Speaking of camera tests, director of cinematography Larry Fong tweeted a photo of his camera and a blurry figure in a business suit last week. Many fans believe that we got our first (extremely blurry) shot of Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne that day.
With camera tests underway it won’t be long until production officially kicks off. I’ve heard that things will get started around May 19th.
