Jason Momoa hints at an anti-hero Aquaman in ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ (video)

We haven’t heard it from Warner Bros. yet, but every reliable website online says that Jason Momoa is playing Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He didn’t really deny it when asked about it by Jimmy Kimmel recently, and now he may have hinted as to what we can expect from his interpretation of the character.

While speaking at the Evolution Expo this past weekend, Momoa was asked how he feels about playing a superhero like Aquaman. This was his reply:

I think it would be really, really fun to play a superhero. You know? I’ve always talked about, like, what’s your favorite. I mean I love Lobo so… but ah… You know. It would be awesome. I don’t know how they do it but… Yea, absolutely I think it would…I just don’t really see myself as a superhero. Yeah, no I mean, they’re kind of written a little different. I don’t know. I just… you know. I’m not wearing a lot of the…I don’t see myself in tights a lot. And ah… I’m more of a, I don’t know, an anti-hero if you will. In life. So, not the smiling, parading to saving the world kind of guy.

Aquaman has been portrayed as an anti-hero in the comics, and the recent Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice rumors point to this as well. Apparently Aquaman is not too happy about what the World Engine in Man of Steel did to the Indian Ocean.

How would you like to see Aquaman portrayed in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice? Let me know in the comments below.
