Gary Oldman has his doubts about ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ (video)

Fans have been pretty excited ever since the announcement last year that Batman and Superman would finally be in a movie together. But not everyone is so optimistic. Gary Oldman, best known to Batman fans as Commissioner Gordon from The Dark Knight Trilogy, has his doubts that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be able to live up to Christopher Nolan’s masterpieces. Here’s what he had to say in a new interview with Yahoo! Movies:

“They want to keep it going. Of course they do. But, it’s Superman yeah? Batman and Superman together? We shall see.”

“The thing about Nolan, there was some grounding of reality to it. In our trilogy, and as fantastical and as big as The Joker was, it was based [on reality]… we could relate to it.”

“But now we’ve got a Batman and we’ve got a guy who can fly who’s an alien?! We’ll have to see…”

“It’s got big shoes to fill”.

Oldman is absolutely right that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has some big shoes to fill… but what do you think about his concerns about Batman hanging out with a flying alien (and other superhuman members of the Justice League). Are you excited to finally see them all come together, or are you skeptical like Mr. Oldman? Let me know what you think in the comments below.
