In my review of Gotham, I said that Robin Lord Taylor’s performance of Oswald Cobblepot was my favorite. He’s excellent, and his early version of the Penguin is going to be a lot of fun to watch. It’s not surprising that he’s going to be the focus of a big upcoming Gotham promotional event.
On Monday, September 22nd FOX is unleashing 40 “Penguin” look-a-likes around NYC to promote the premiere of Gotham. When they all come together and open their umbrellas it will spell out “GOTHAM”. Robin Lord Taylor will also be walking around NYC, so be on lookout for the real Penguin as well!
I’ll update this post when I get the exact times, but this will all go down in the morning of September 22nd. If you’re in NYC I encourage you to hang out around Times Square, Flatiron District/Madison Square Park, Grand Central Terminal, News Corp Building, Rockefeller Center, New York Public Library, Central Park Zoo, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art to get a glimpse. FOX will be handing out Oswald Cobblepot sunglasses and Gotham lenticular lanyards.
